Some Things to Think
About
Practice thinking about breaking the
rules when you're purchasing a product
or service. What's annoying about the
way your auto repair shop schedules
appointments? What's inconvenient about
taking time to get your hair cut? What
information isn't readily available when
you're shopping for a new appliance?
Asking questions may lead to profitable
ideas.
Pay attention to your frustration
level at work. If you regularly find a
particular task or procedure tedious or
unproductive, it may be because it
involves an unnecessary rule.
Focus on deciphering the difference
between constructive and destructive
comments from your employer, co-workers
or others in your line of work.
Criticism that includes the phrase
"because that's the way we've always
done things" should be examined with
particular care.
